  CSK After Returning from Suspension became Champions by defeating all Odds Rewind a couple of months back to the IPL Auctions and you saw experts rating the CSK side 4 or 5 on a scale of 10. They had a large number of aged players in their side. Most players were well past their prime, including the skipper. How did they lift the IPL trophy on 27 May despite being against all odds? How did they even manage to reach the finals? Let us go right back to the team retention. Trusting The Players and Retaining Core: CSK and MS Dhoni can never be thought of separately. We have seen best of Dhoni because he batted up the order

 MS Dhoni’s stature as one of the most destructive batsmen in the world was not built merely on the runs he made, but it was the strike-rate that caught the imagination.

IPL-11 has seen the Vintage Dhoni in all circumstances whether the captaincy or The strike power or finishing skills. All these memorable Innings came when he batted up the order i.e; At No.4 for CSK

Trun the clock back to KXIP match it was only 3rd match of season for CSK and Ms DHONI delivered for CSK with some vintage striking. CSK might not have won that match but he gave a glimpse of what he is capable of. Note that he continued to play that match With Pain in spine that really shows his commitment and concentration towards the Game. He remained Notout and scored 79(44) with 6 fours and 5 sixes.

Against RCB:

He displayed brutal hitting and excellent finishing skills proved that why he termed as best finisher in the world by playing such knock. Where he smashed 70(34)* with 7 sixes and 1 four to take CSK to victory. CSK chased 205 target with ease thanks to some power striking by Dhoni. 

Against DC:


Dhoni again finished CSK's Innings with huge blows scoring 51(22)* with 5 sixes leaving no bowler taking breath. Even he smashed Trent Boult out of the stadium. The stage was sent for him to finish CSK Innings well . And guess what HE DELIVERS! He was there until 20 overs and CSK were able to go past 200 run mark

And many more Innings that have gone unnoticed. With The game CSK lost against Rajasthan he gave decent finish to CSK Innings but it was not CSK's day in the field. Unfortunately they lost the game. In 2nd game of KXIP Dhoni came and gave a finishing touch to the game with 16(7)* with 1 six and a four henceforth Csk won that game and qualified for Playoffs.

Highest Run chase in IPL-11 By CSK VS KKR

  CSK Scripted another emphatic win in their 2nd game against KKR in Chennai It was only the 5th game of the tournament but this has reached the limits of Final such is the anxiety and nervousness this match has had.
